 Description: In this class we will use acid dyes to dye protein fibers, mainly wool and silk. These dyes are very colorfast and waste-sparing. Easy to use, they are the practical choice of many dyers. From 3 primary base colors students will develop a scale of 15 colors to take home for future use.Students are encouraged to bring in materials that they plan to dye. We will dye samples of those in the class. Bring scissors, tape measure, apron, latex gloves, mask. |
