Shibori Technique with Colorhue Dye

 Description: In this class students will learn four major types of shibori. Using silk cloth we will do the following methods: pole-wrapping, clamping, stitching, and binding. Each technique creates unique patterns. The quilt hanging in our dye studio was made using these techniques. Each sample will then be dyed with Colorhue dye for striking results.Students will bring latex gloves, apron, scissors, and a disappearing fabric marking pen or pencil. |
