10/2 Tubular Spectrum Yarns
Tubular Spectrum Kits
We call it... The Tubular Spectrum

The Tubular Spectrum is a set of 20 yarns in a spectrum of colors based on Munsell's color system. (See the color chart at the right). Munsell was an American painter, and in 1905 he published a color system that uses 5 colors as the primary colors: Red, Yellow, Blue, Green and Purple. By using his color system, we developed the Tubular Spectrum.

In addition to the 20 colors, we expanded our Tubular Spectrum line to include 5 shades of gray plus black and white. These work wonderfully to highlight a color, or to tone colors down when used incrementally with colors. The woven possibilities are endless.

We contract with a US dyehouse to produce our Tubular Spectrum yarns. These mercerized cotton yarns are dyed with the best fiber reactive dyes for superior colorfastness. Yes, you really can have white towels with red stripes, and wash them too!

Because the yarns are dyed with fiber reactive dyes, discharge techniques work wonderfully well with our Tubular Spectrum yarns.

All 27 colors are available in 10/2 mercerized cotton. We also have a limited number of the colors available in 5/2 and 20/2. See the Yarn section below.

Our Tubular spectrum yarns are available individually on cones and all together in various combinations in our kits.
