Explore natural dyes from local dye plants. We will use locally collected berries, flowers, roots, and leaves, both wild and cultivated, to create color. We will play with different mordants and pH levels to create a variety of colors and hues from each plant. You will go home with yarn samples and dye recipes for each plant, collecting, and identification information.
