The third workshop in a series shares my experience with indigo dye, the most ancient dye in the world. We will use natural indigo to make the dye vat based on Michel Garcia’s 1-2-3 technique. We will dye skeins in indigo in the morning and then over-dye them in the afternoon with other natural dyes (such as marigold, madder, or cutch), creating new colors!

Participants will bring (3) 1-ounce skeins of natural fiber to dye.
